The Work That Changed My Practice Was Never About the Practice.

Dr. Vic Manzo — Chiropractor · Business Coach · Author of Three Books · Host of The Mindful Experiment, Top 1% Globally

Dr. Vic Manzo grew up in Melrose Park, Illinois — a blue-collar Italian community outside Chicago where family, loyalty, and hard work were the only currencies that mattered. He became a chiropractor, built The Wellness Path across three locations in East Tennessee, hit his financial peak in 2016, and found himself completely burned out. What he discovered in that season changed everything — and he has been teaching it ever since.

I knew going into that October what the year was going to look like financially. We’d already made more than I’d ballparked. By every metric I’d been chasing for years, I had arrived.

And I was burnt out. Frustrated. Exhausted. Thinking about leaving the profession I’d worked my whole life to build.

That didn’t make sense. I’d done everything right. I was reading 80 to 120 books a year. I had coaches. Hour-plus morning routines every single day — meditation, breathwork, journaling, affirmations. All of it. And I was still stressed. Still anxious. The fulfillment never came. I just kept being told to do more.

Something was off. I felt it. And for the first time, I stopped listening to everyone else and started listening to myself.

What I found in that moment of deep soul-seeking changed everything — not just for my practice, but for my entire understanding of how human beings grow, heal, and succeed. It became the foundation of everything I now teach.

I grew up in a blue-collar Italian family in a suburb of Chicago.

Melrose Park. Small. Tight. The kind of place where Sunday dinner was always with family — and if someone wasn’t blood, they still got called family because they’d earned the trust and the respect. My friends used to ask, ‘You’re with your family all the time — who are your friends?’ My family was my friends. That was just how it was.

But growing up in that world also meant absorbing a very particular set of beliefs. ‘Money doesn’t grow on trees.’ ‘Can I afford it?’ — never ‘How can I learn to get it?’ Struggle was just accepted. That was the water I swam in, and I didn’t even know it was shaping me.

What that environment gave me was my dad. He laid carpet. He also worked full-time at a grocery warehouse. From the time I was five years old I was on the job with him — hauling tools, moving materials, doing the heavy work. That was our time together.

He was a perfectionist. People would wait months — sometimes half a year — just to get him. Because when he laid carpet, he cleaned the floor underneath before he started, even though nobody was ever going to see it. He did it right because it was right. He charged less than he should have because he cared more about the people than the money.

I was frustrated by his perfectionism as a kid. As an adult — as a chiropractor, as a coach — I understand it completely. He taught me that you take care of people no matter what. That’s not a business strategy. That’s a way of being. It’s what I try to pass down to my own kids now.

Sports kept me grounded — basketball, baseball, soccer, football. But I was also the kid with health issues at 7 who was told by a doctor, right in front of me, that I wouldn’t play sports in high school and would need a hip replacement in my thirties. I decided right then: no way. By high school I was playing five sports. I’ve always been someone you don’t tell no.

What October 2016 taught me that five years of coaches and hundreds of books never did.

I made a decision that scared me. I cleared patients who weren’t the right fit. I leaned into pediatrics — where my heart was. I deliberately walked away from about 40% of my financial volume. On purpose.

And then I stopped doing everything I’d been told I had to do. I stopped grinding through books by the number. I picked up whatever I was genuinely curious about. I let my intuition lead. I stopped swimming upstream and let the current take me.

In six months — without doing anything I was ‘supposed’ to be doing — pediatric patients went from 5% of our practice to 48%. Without a campaign. Without a funnel. Without grinding.

That was the proof. Not just that the approach worked — but that everything I’d spent years studying about energy, quantum physics, neuroscience, and the inner world was real and practical. When you stop blocking and start aligning, things move. Not because you forced them. Because you finally got out of the way.

That’s when I knew I had to teach this. I was talking to business owners everywhere who were doing exactly what I’d been doing: exhausted, grinding, chasing. I started The Mindful Experiment podcast in 2018. Wrote my first book that same year. And I started coaching — not from someone else’s certification, but from everything I’d learned across neuroscience, quantum physics, energy healing, and ancient wisdom, filtered through my own experience of what actually works.

Your inner world controls your outer world. I knew this intellectually for years. October 2016 is when I lived it. And I’ve been teaching it ever since.

Why quantum physics, neuroscience, and ancient wisdom — and why all three.

When I was first talking about this work in chiropractic school — in Texas, deep in the Bible Belt — a lot of people called it woo woo. My response was: fine. Let me bring the science.

Quantum physics is the science behind what ancient traditions have been saying for thousands of years. The Tao Te Ching was written 2,500 years ago and applies perfectly to the modern world. As above, so below. Your inner world creates your outer world. The power is within. Quantum physics is now proving what wisdom traditions have always known — that we are always attracting, always vibrating at a frequency, always creating our experience from the inside out.

Neuroscience explains the mechanism — how the brain builds patterns, how it creates stories to keep you comfortable and stuck, how the mind and heart interact, how you can rewire what’s been running in the background. When I understand the neuroscience, I can show someone exactly why they’re doing what they’re doing. That clarity alone creates a shift.

Ancient wisdom gives the context — the Tao, Buddhist and Zen principles, Shamanic traditions. Many different voices across thousands of years, all pointing at the same truth: you already have everything you need. The answer isn’t outside. It never was.

I blend the spiritual world with the scientific world. Because when you can see the truth from both angles at once — that’s when something inside you finally settles.

Who Dr. Vic is when he’s not coaching or in the practice.

I’m a student of life. Always learning — not because I’m supposed to, but because I’m genuinely curious. Family comes first. My health first — because if that’s not right, nothing else is — and then my family. I have two young kids and I remind myself every day that they’re not going to be little forever. When I’m with them, I’m present. When I’m not, I’m working. That boundary keeps everything in its right place.

My wife is my rock. My number one supporter. She sees the power in me sometimes before I see it in myself. I wouldn’t be doing any of this without her.

Outside the office I love woodworking — building things with your hands quiets the mind in a way nothing else does. My wife and I grow our own food — about 2,500 square feet of garden space in our backyard. We can our own sauce the old Italian way, make it from scratch, put it up for the year. I grew up across the street from a Mexican family and fell in love with hot peppers early. Hotter the better, always.

What grounds me most is nature. Sun in the morning. Time outside. That’s my church. When I’m carrying something — anxiety, worry, the weight of the work — I go outside and let it do what it does. It quiets my mind and takes me back inward. Because that’s always where the answers are anyway. Nature has always been my solitude.

We’re all brothers and sisters in this. Every person I meet, I’m looking for the place where I can leave a mark. A positive one. An influential one. Even if it’s just a hello.

What this is all actually about.

I became a coach because I wanted people to stop suffering unnecessarily. Not the suffering that comes from real loss — that has purpose. The unnecessary suffering. The kind that comes from running the same programs on repeat, never seeing them for what they are, never realizing you could choose something different.

Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime. That’s the coaching. That’s the course. That’s everything I build. I’m not trying to give you answers. I’m trying to show you how to find your own — because they’ve always been inside you.

If I can help one person genuinely feel their own potential — not just think about it, but actually feel it, know it in their body — I’ve done my job. Because once you feel it, you can’t unfeel it. And once you know it’s there, you start asking a completely different question. Not ‘can I afford this?’ Not ‘is this possible for me?’ But ‘what do I want to experience next?’

That’s the question of a 3-year-old kid who hasn’t been taught yet to talk themselves out of things. That’s where this all leads.

The goal is never dependency. The goal is freedom. Once you see your own potential clearly, you don’t need a coach to tell you what’s possible. You already know. And from there, you get to choose the life you actually came here to live.

Who is Dr. Vic Manzo?

Dr. Vic Manzo is a chiropractor, business and mindset coach, author of three books, and host of The Mindful Experiment podcast — which ranks in the top 1% of podcasts globally. He grew up in Melrose Park, Illinois, a blue-collar Italian community outside Chicago, and went on to build The Wellness Path Chiropractic practice across three locations in East Tennessee. After reaching his financial peak in 2016 and discovering he was burned out despite doing everything conventionally right, he developed a coaching methodology grounded in quantum physics, neuroscience, and ancient wisdom traditions. He now coaches chiropractors, entrepreneurs, and business owners to break through their ceilings by addressing the identity and energy beneath the surface — not by adding more strategy.

What does Dr. Vic Manzo coach?

Dr. Vic Manzo coaches chiropractors, healthcare practitioners, entrepreneurs, and business owners who have hit a ceiling they cannot break through with conventional approaches. His coaching addresses the internal level — identity, energy, belief systems, and the unconscious programs running in the background — rather than adding more strategy or accountability. His methodology draws on quantum physics, neuroscience, and ancient wisdom traditions. He offers 6-month private 1-on-1 coaching at $1,200/month, the Unlock Your Greatness online course at $397, and three published books.

What is The Mindful Experiment podcast?

The Mindful Experiment is a podcast hosted by Dr. Vic Manzo exploring mindset, quantum physics, neuroscience, ancient wisdom, and practical principles for living a more aligned and fulfilling life. It ranks in the top 1% of podcasts globally. The show is designed for entrepreneurs, business owners, and anyone who wants to understand the inner mechanisms that determine outer results. Topics range from the art of surrender and how the mind creates limiting identity, to quantum principles, healing, and what it actually means to step into your own potential.

What books has Dr. Vic Manzo written?

Dr. Vic Manzo has written three books. Rediscover Your Greatness explores the core premise that everything you need is already within you and teaches how to reconnect with the truth of who you are beneath the conditioning and programs your mind has built over a lifetime. The Walk in the Dark addresses navigating difficult seasons — the moments of uncertainty, loss, and transition that can either break you or transform you depending on how you move through them. Decoding the Matrix examines the deeper structure of reality through quantum physics, neuroscience, and ancient wisdom, and what it means for how you create your life. All three books are available on Amazon.

How is Dr. Vic Manzo different from other business coaches?

Most business coaches work at the level of strategy, systems, and accountability — they give you more to do, more to track, more to optimize. Dr. Vic works at the level below that: the identity and energy that determines whether any strategy actually produces results. His coaching is grounded in quantum physics, neuroscience, and ancient wisdom traditions. He is also a practicing chiropractor and practice owner, which gives him specific understanding of the pressures facing healthcare practitioners that most coaches do not have. His clients consistently report a shift that is different from anything they’ve experienced before — not a temporary spike, but a fundamental change in who they are showing up as.

What is Dr. Vic Manzo’s approach to surrender?

Dr. Vic Manzo teaches surrender as the opposite of weakness — it is stepping back into your power by trusting something deeper than the mind’s fear-based stories. In Western culture, surrender typically means giving up or losing control. In Dr. Vic’s framework, surrender means moving fully into the present moment — sitting with difficult feelings rather than running from them, trusting the process rather than forcing outcomes. Drawing on quantum physics, he teaches that most people spend more energy blocking what they want than allowing it, and that surrender is the practice of getting out of your own way. This concept is central to his Unlock Your Greatness course and 1-on-1 coaching program.
